Rose Gardens Croquet Club is located in the 26 hectare Victoria Esplanade (Click here). Established to celebrate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887, TheEsplanade has become Palmerston North's top sporting, recreational and leisure venue. Our six lawns are to be found next to the renowned Dugald Mackenzie Rose Garden (Click here), hence our name. Ample parking is available in the carpark, behind the Café Esplanade and adjacent to our lawns.
Our Club Days are on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. Visitors and prospective members are always welcome. "Every Club Day is an Open Day at RGCC." Be at the Manawaroa Pavilion (off the car park) by 12.45 PM, to ensure that you are allocated a Host. Subject to demand, both Association Croquet and Golf Croquet are available on all Club Days. The Club has a policy of not differentiating between AC & GC players; all members are Croquet Members, playing either or both codes, and members are encouraged to attempt both.
